Using the Library

Our hours and contact info are at the bottom of the page.

New books, past periodicals, and DVDs check out for 14 days. Everything else that checks out, checks out for 28 days. Items may be renewed twice, as long as there aren't any holds on the item.

We don't have overdue fines! If you have overdue materials, you won't be allowed further checkouts or holds until you renew or return them. Replacement costs plus a $10 processing fee are billed at 30 days overdue; neither of these are waived after 90 days overdue.

If you want an item we don't have, we can almost always get it for you from another library. If it's available at one of our partner libraries, it's free. If not, there is a $3.00 charge to help recover postage costs. We'll call or email you when it arrives, so make sure your contact info is up-to-date.

Check out our downloadable audiobooks and ebooks at montanalibrary2go.org (requires your card number).

Using your card number and PIN, you can access your account (at left) to renew items and place holds on our or our partner libraries' items.

Anyone is free to use one of our public computers. The computers automatically shut down 15 minutes before closing. Save your work!

Printing and photocopies are available for 25¢ b&w50¢ color, per side. Scanning is free.

Anyone with a Montana or Yellowstone National Park address can get a library card. Those under 16 need a parent or legal guardian to sign off on their account.
